SOHR activists have documented the death of five people:
• Three civilians slaughtered by knives
• One regime soldier
• One member of the National Defence
Moreover, 27 people have been kidnapped including women, and one was injured since the period from the beginning of March until March 11.
The details are as follows:

• On March 6: A regime soldier was killed, when a military patrol was trapped in an ambush by gunmen, who are believed to be ISIS cells, in Al-Sokhna desert in Homs countryside, and the victim hails from Talkalakh city in western Homs countryside.

• On March 10: ISIS cells carried out a sneak attack on a group of “truffle” workers with members of the National Defence in Kabajeb area on the road between Damascus and Deir Ezzor in the southern desert, causing the eruption of clashes between both sides, leaving one member of the National Defence killed, one worker injured and another worker kidnapped.

• On March 11: a group of gunmen, who are likely to belong to “ISIS” cells, attacked “truffle” pickers in Khanaser desert in the south-eastern countryside of Aleppo near the posts of Iranian-backed militias, where they slaughtered three young men and kidnapped at least 26, including women, and took them to unknown destination. It is noted that the three killed men were from Al-Safirah area in Aleppo countryside.

It is worth noting that the “Truffle” trap is still claiming the lives of many civilians and combatants in different areas of the Syrian desert.
