Deir Ezzor | Brother of commander of Al-Baath militias injured in landmine explosion
Deir Ezzor province: The brother of a commander of Al-Baat militias was injured on March 10 due to the explosion of a landmine in Al-Mari’iya village in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside causing the amputation of his leg and shrapnel in different areas of his body.
On March 10, SOHR activists reported that the fate of the 12 gunmen of the National Defence of Al-Bosaraya tribe remained unknown, 24 hours after contact was lost with them.
Accordingly, dozens of gunmen of Al-Bosaraya tribe headed towards the southern Deir Ezzor desert searching for the missing people, with no information about them, while checkpoints of the 4th Division prevented the passage of the gunmen from Al-Shajery area in western Deir Ezzor desert in fear of any potential attacks by ISIS.
According to reliable SOHR sources, regime forces and their proxies were getting ready to start combing operations in the Syrian desert searching for ISIS cells, coinciding with a kidnapping operation against people of the tribe by unidentified gunmen.
The Syrian desert has witnessed kidnapping operations and sneak attacks by ISIS cells against civilians, especially those searching for truffle and combatants.
