Old ordnance | Two children inj*ured by explosion of an object in Al-Bab city in Aleppo

Aleppo province: Two children displaced from Okairabat town in eastern Hama countryside was injured due to the explosion of an object of war remnants in the vicinity of Al-Bab city northern of Aleppo, where they were taken to Al-Bab Al-Jadid Hospital in the city to receive proper medication.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 70 civilians, including two women and 22 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2023. In addition, over 141 civilians, including 35 children and four women, sustained various injuries.

The casualties are distributed regionally as follows:
• Areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions in Idlib: Three fatalities; including a child, and five injured civilians, including three children.
• Regime-controlled areas: 62 fatalities, including 16 children and three women, and 117 injured civilians, including 18 children and three women. There are 30 truffle pickers died, including a child and a woman, and 82 others injured.
• “Euphrates Shield” area in east Aleppo countryside: One fatality, a child, and six injured people: a woman and five children.
• SDF-held areas: Three fatalities; three children, and ten injured civilians, including three children. There is a little truffle picker among the injured people.
• “Peace Spring” area in north Al-Raqqah countryside: One child dead and another injured.
