“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and opposition factions trade fire in Idlib and Hama countryside

SOHR sources have reported that regime forces fire artillery shells on the surrounding areas of Al-Ankawi, Al-Qahera, Al-Sarmaniyah and Al-Qarqour villages in the western countryside of Hama and the surrounding areas of Sfuhen and Al-Haloubah villages in the western countryside of Idlib.

Meanwhile, opposition factions fire artillery shells on regime positions on Al-Fataterah frontlines in the southern countryside of Idlib, amid unconfirmed reports of the injury of regime soldiers.

It is worth noting that the “de-escalation zone” experiences frequent gunfire, infiltration operations and exchange of bombardment between regime forces and opposition factions.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that violent clashes erupted between regime forces and special forces of the HTS-backed “Liwaa Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq” following an infiltration operation by “Liwaa Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq” into regime positions on Al-Fataterah frontline in the southern countryside of Idlib. However, no casualties were reported.

On the other hand, regime forces fired tens of artillery shells on nine villages in the Idlib and Hama countryside; they are as follows: Al-Faterah, Al-Haloubah, Fulayfel and Sfuhen in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside, Al-Ankawi, Al-Sarmaniyah, Al-Qahera, Al-Qarqour and Kherbet Al-Namous in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama.
