NE Syria | Strong rainstorm leaves two children dead

SOHR sources have reported that a 14-year-old boy from Al-Mabtouh village in Al-Hasakah countryside drowned because of the floods which the latest heavy rainfall in Jabal Abdulaziz area in the western countryside of Al-Hasakah. Also, a little girl drowned in a pond formed due to the heavy rainfall in Botan neighbourhood in the south-west of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani).

 

A few hours ago, SOHR activists documented the injury of four civilians: a man, a woman and two children, in Sahlat Al-Banat camp in Al-Raqqah city because of the collapse of tents on inhabitants after water leaked into them, because of flood which followed the strong rainstorm in the region. Meanwhile, no organisations or associations arrived in the camp to help the families.

 

According to SOHR sources, the injured people were taken to Al-Raqqah national hospital, where the man sustained serious injuries.
