Hosting ISIS prisoners | Gunfire heard nearby Al-Raqqah prison

Al-Raqqah province: SOHR sources have reported hearing gunfire nearby Al-Raqqah central prison which hosts hundreds of ISIS prisoners. However, it is not known yet if there is a security breach in the prison. This comes a few days after boosting the prison with a sniper.

 

On March 11, SOHR sources reported that SDF installed a Dushka machinegun on silos opposite Al-Raqqah central prison which hosts ISIS prisoners.

 

While on March 5, SOHR activists monitored security mobilization of the security forces in areas of the “Autonomous Administration” in the vicinity of Al-Sina’a (Ghuwairan) prison in Al-Hasakah, deployed armoured vehicles and cut roads in the vicinity of the prison by Commandos Forces.

 

This coincided with the deployment of the Essential Protection Forces in the vicinity of Alaya prison in Al-Qamishly, amid reports of the disobedience of prisoners including those belonging to ISIS.
