Amid harsh weather conditions | Three militiamen of “Liwaa Fatemiyoun” go missing in Al-Mayadeen

Deir Ezzor province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that three militiamen of the Iranian-backed Afghan militia of “Liwaa Fatemiyoun” have gone missing yesterday, while they were attempting to deliver electricity to areas hosting positions of Iranian-backed factions in Al-Mayadeen, the “capital of Iranian-backed militias in east Syria,” in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

According to SOHR sources, the missing of the three militiamen, who were feeding electricity form Al-Haydariyah area to the two garrisons where several military posts are deployed, coincided with harsh weather conditions and thick fog. It is not known yet if the militiamen were kidnapped by ISIS cells or get lost.

On March 13, SOHR sources reported that a man close to Iranian-backed militias died of the injury he had sustained in an armed attack carried out on Saturday by unknown gunmen on a motorcycle in Al-Mayadeen city, the “capital of Iranian-backed militias in west Euphrates region.”

According to SOHR sources, the man, who was in military uniform when he was attacked, was taken by a patrol of the criminal security service to the Iranian-hospital of Al-Shefaa shortly after the attack, but he died of his injuries.
