Amid HTS escalating operations in the “de-escalation zone” | Russian officer replaces group of regime officers with military experts
Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that a senior Russian officer has arrived in Manbij countryside where he chose nearly 30 officers with military and combat experience of the 7th Division and took them with their materiel to Idlib frontlines, where they replaced officers of the 1st Division on those frontlines.
This coincides with the escalating attacks by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham on regime positions in “Putin-Erdogan” area.
On January 28, SOHR sources reported that regime forces replaced all members of the military checkpoint near Qatna town in Rif Dimashq with other members, under supervision of an officer of the Military Intelligence Department, and reinforced the checkpoint with logistic equipment and additional members, where regime forces put cement blocks in the middle of the road and on the sides of the road to adjust the movement of cars, and brought a device to detect explosives and search the cars.
