Afrin | Civil police arrest civilian for “dealing with former Autonomous Administration” and Turkish-backed faction arrests two others for unknown reasons

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that members of a patrol arrested a civilian on March 16 in Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood in Afrin city for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.” It is worth noting that the civilian had been arrested for the same accusation, and he was released after paying a ransom to the civil police.

Similarly, members of Al-Majd Corps arrested two civilians on March 12 in Zerka village in Raju district in Afrin countryside in the north-western countryside of Aleppo for unknown reasons.

On March 15, SOHR sources reported that a patrol of the military police launched a large-scale security campaign in the past few hours, arresting four civilians from Qarrah Baba and Banirak villages in Raju district in Afrin countryside in the north-western countryside of Aleppo for unknown reasons. The arrested civilians were taken to a prison in Maydan Ikbis village near the Syria-Turkey border.

On the other hand,  a commander of the Turkish-backed Al-Majd Corps brutally beat and kicked a civilian from Zerka village in Raju district for not granting the commander a share of fire logs. Moreover, the commander canceled the authorization, which a relative of the civilian had made for taking care of his land, and imposed a levy of 40% of the land harvest.
