Attempted assassination | Unknown gunmen shoot “collaborator” with security regime security services in Daraa countryside

Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen opened fire on a man in Al-Jeza town in Daraa countryside, injuring him seriously. The man, who was taken to the hospital in Bosra Al-Sham city, works for a local armed group operating in Al-Jeza town. This group operated under the banner of the 4th Division for a short time, and it accused of involving in drug business in that region.

 

This coincides with the escalating security chaos in Daraa province, as well as the entire Syrian geography.

 

Since early 2023, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 100, which left 80 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • 26 civilians, including a child, a boy, three women and two men accused of “involving in drug business.”

 

  • 39 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.

 

  • Three former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

 

  • Five ISIS members.

 

  • Three ex-combatants with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

 

  • Two people working for the Lebanese Hezbollah.

 

  • One “collaborator” with Iranian-backed militias.

 

  • An ex-fighter in the former Jabhat Al-Nusra
