Two separate incidents | Wa*r remnants claim life of young man and inj*ure child in regime areas

A young man died today, due to the explosion of war remnants in Kafr Sajna town within regime-held areas in southern Idlib countryside.

On the same context, an 11 years-old child was severely injured due to the explosion of war remnants in Zabl Al-Ajal village in northern Salmiya countryside in Hama countryside, where he was taken to the hospital to receive proper medication.

War remnants are still claiming the lives of more civilians in different areas of Syria.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 84 civilians, including four women and 25 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2023. In addition, over 151 civilians, including 41 children and four women, sustained various injuries.
The casualties are distributed regionally as follows:

• Areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions in Idlib: Three fatalities; including a child, and five injured civilians, including three children.

• Regime-controlled areas: 76 fatalities, including 19 children and four women, and 127 injured civilians, including 24 children and three women. There are 33 truffle pickers died, including a child and two women, and 83 others injured.

• “Euphrates Shield” area in east Aleppo countryside: One fatality, a child, and eight injured people: a woman and seven children.

• SDF-held areas: Three fatalities; three children, and ten injured civilians, including six children. There is a little truffle picker among the injured people.

• “Peace Spring” area in north Al-Raqqah countryside: A child was killed and another was injured.
