Through Bab Al-Hawa | New UN convoy enters areas in north western of Syria

A new UN convoy has entered areas in north western of Syria to help those affected by the earthquake, where the convoy comprises 32 trucks carrying food, baskets and amounts of flour, and headed towards towns in northern Idlib countryside.

SOHR sources have reported that a new UN humanitarian aid convoy crossed into disaster-stricken areas in north-west Syria through Bab Al-Hawa crossing on the Syria-Turkey border. The convoy comprised 34 trucks carrying humanitarian assistance, including food baskets, flour and medical supplies. The trucks were distributed to Sarmada, Maarrat Misrin, Hazanu and Oqayrabat towns in Idlib countryside.

Since the latest violent earthquake hit Syria on February 6, nearly 998 trucks carrying humanitarian assistance crossed into areas controlled by the “Salvation Government” and the “Syrian Interim Government” in north-west Syria; they are distributed as follows:

• 690 trucks crossed through Bab Al-Hawa crossing.

• 308 trucks crossed through Bab Al-Salama, Al-Ra’i and Al-Hamam crossings.
