Coinciding with flight of planes | Explosions heard in largest base of International Coalition base in Syria

Deir Ezzor province: Violent explosions were heard in the largest base of the “International Coalition” base in Al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor countryside, coinciding with the flight of “International Coalition” planes over Al-Mayadin (the capital of the Iranian militias in eastern of Syria).

A few hours ago, SOHR activists monitored extensive flight by helicopters of the International Coalition at low altitude adjacent to Euphrates River in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, coinciding with the flight of unidentified drones over the city.

SOHR sources reported new details of the airstrikes which were executed by US fighter jets and unidentified aircraft on positions of Iranian-backed militias in Deir Ezzor in the early hours of Friday.

According to SOHR sources, the airstrikes targeted positions of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Al-Bokamal desert in eastern Deir Ezzor, another positions on the southern outskirts of Al-Mayadeen city and an ammunition warehouse in the “grain centre” and “rural development centre” opposite the “Officers Residences” in Harabesh neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city.

After the attacks, Iranian-backed militias in Al-Mayadeen, Al-Bokamal and Deir Ezzor cities amassed their troops and were put on high alert, in preparation for new attacks.

On the other hand, Iranian-backed militiamen stationed in a base near Ain Ali shrine in Al-Mayadeen countryside fired several missiles, targeting positions in Al-Omar oil field which hosts the International Coalition’s largest base in Syria. Meanwhile, SOHR activists reported seeing fighter jets hovering over the region
