Accused of “participating in protests and lifting Kurdistan flag” | Turkish intelligence arrests two civilians in Jinderes

Aleppo province: Members of Turkish intelligence checkpoint at the entrance of Jinderes district in Afrin countryside, north west of Aleppo, arrested two civilians while they were heading from Afrin towards Jinderes for participating in the protests that are being held there demanding the killers’ accountability. The arrested civilians were accused of “lifting Kurdistan Region of Iraq flags and participating in the protests.”

On a related context, a group of ex-members in “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah” faction with their families assaulted a civilian from Mirkan village in Maabatly district in Afrin countryside, because the civilian prevented shepherds affiliated with the factions from herding sheep in his barley field, which caused him bruises.

On March 22, SOHR reported that members of “Al-Sharqiyah Army” assaulted a civilian from Jinderes in Afrin countryside north west of Aleppo, in the market of the city and took him to an unknown destination, on the pretext that the civilian was staring at them. People of Jinderes district are afraid of “National Army” factions’ revenge, after lifting slogans demanding the “National Army” to leave Jinderes and calling “HTS” to enter and protect them from violations.
