In less than six months | Israel targets Aleppo International Airport four times and destroys warehouses of Iranian militias

Israel is still in war with Iran, using Syrian lands as battlefield and targeting Syrian lands that belong to the Syrian people, where these lands are used by both Iranian militias and Israel as battlefield under the pretext that Iranian militias are present in these areas, where the airports are used by Iranian militias and targeted by Israel with the latest airport that was targeted was Aleppo International Airport.

SOHR activists reported that Israeli forces targeted Aleppo International Airport four times in less than six months since the last day of August 2022, and until March 22, 2023, where these attacks left ten combatants of Syrian and non-Syrian members of Iranian militias killed and left others injures, and caused the destruction of warehouses of weapons and ammunition, in addition to putting the airport out of service.

The details are as follows:

• August 31: SOHR activists have reported that the Israeli shelling on the International Aleppo Airport, was targeting an ammunition warehouse for the Iranian militias located in the vicinity of the airport with three missiles. Moreover, a fourth missile hit the airport campus and the runway was not damaged, however the material losses included the Iranian warehouse in the vicinity of the airport. According to reliable SOHR sources, the Russian forces located inside the International Aleppo Airport had prior knowledge of the Israeli airstrikes, as they started mobilizing ten minutes before the airstrikes.

• On September 6: SOHR activists have reported hearing loud explosions in the vicinity of Al-Malkiyah neighbourhood near Aleppo International Airport, due to the Israeli airstrikes on warehouses of the Iranian-backed militias, destroying these warehouses and setting them on fire. Moreover, Israeli missiles hit the runway of Aleppo International Airport and at least two missiles hit the vicinity of the airport, causing huge material damages.

• On March 7: Israeli forces targeted Aleppo International Airport with several missiles that were fired from the sea, where loud sounds were heard in Lattakia city, as at least three missiles hit their targets and hit the runway of the airport, putting it completely out of service. Three people including a Syrian officer and two unidentified people were killed in the vicinity of Aleppo International Airport due to the Israeli shelling this evening.

• On March 22: Israel targeted Aleppo International Airport with six missiles, where five of them hit their targets and the vicinity of the airport and the Iranian warehouse of weapons, and loud explosions were heard putting the airport out of service, where four members of Iranian militias were killed, two of which are Syrians and the nationalities of the other two remained unknown.
