Earlier retaliation | Civilian shot dead by his nephew in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that a civilian was shot dead by his nephew over an earlier retaliation in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that two civilians sustained various injuries due to gunfire followed a quarrel which erupted between two families in Jadid Bakarah town within SDF-held areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

Areas of a tribal nature in north-east Syria, witnessing quarrels over revenge cases which mostly result in clashes and causalities.

 

Accordingly, the number of infightings which followed disputes over retaliation and family and tribal disagreements in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration has reached 24 since early 2023. According to SOHR statistics, these infightings left 18 people dead and 22 others, including two women and a child, injured; they are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 16 infightings left nine people, including two women, dead and 14 others, including two woman and a child, injured.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: Five infightings left six persons dead and five others injured, including a woman.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: One infighting left one person dead three others injured.

 

  • Aleppo countryside: Two infighting left two persons dead.
