SOHR knew that IS executed yesterday afternoon the Former Director General of Palmyra Directorate of Antiquities and Museums in the city of Palmyra in the east of Homs, where a close associate from the former director informed SOHR that IS executed Dr. Khaled al- As’ad, who has a doctorate in archeology, in the public square in Palmyra in front of dozens of people where they slaughtered him by a knife after arresting him a month ago.
