Israeli missiles hit several military positions of the regime and Iranian-backed militias in Homs, where explosions were heard and fire broke out in the scientific research area in Khirbat Al-Tain, another position in Al-Qasir area and Al-Daba’a Military Airport, where ambulance vehicles rushed to the positions, amid confirmed reports about casualties.
It is worth noting that Israel has targeted Syrian areas nine times since the beginning of 2023.
Yesterday, reliable SOHR sources confirmed the death of five officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, including a senior commander, in the Israeli airstrikes which were executed in the early hours of Thursday morning near the southern bypass area in the capital, Damascus.
IRGC had acknowledged that a top officer affiliated to the formation was killed in the attack.
SOHR had reported an Israeli attack on a house near the southern bypass in the early hours of Thursday morning, following the arrival of Iranian-backed militiamen, which caused human and material losses.
SOHR sources reported that Israeli missile hit positions of regime forces and Iranian-backed militias in the area between Qatna and Jadidat Artouz in the south-west of the capital, Damascus.
Meanwhile, SOHR activists reported hearing successive explosions in the area, as the missiles hit a weapons and ammunitions warehouse.
Regime air defences managed to intercept at least one Israeli missile.
