Regular Daily Movement | Tens of oil trucks of Al-Qaterji head towards Banias and Homs refineries coming from SDF-held areas

SOHR sources have reported that about 80 trucks of “Al-Qaterji” militia, carrying oil materials, have entered the regime areas, coming from SDF-held areas through smuggling crossings, heading towards Banias and Homs refiners which are productivity dilapidated.
According to SOHR sources, “Al-Qaterji” militia works on the building the first private oil refiner in the Syrian land, which will have a productive capacity greater than the dilapidated refiners’ of Banias and Homs.
Regime-held areas depend on buying oil products from SDF-held areas to provide them in the area, through traders and partners who smuggle fuels through smuggling crossings from SDF-held areas to the regime-held areas, especially “Al-Qaterji” company, to meet the needs of the regime areas of the ongoing fuels crisis.
On January 17, SOHR reported that two Iranian oil tankers, one loaded with 2,000 tons of household gas, and the other loaded with 8,000 tons of diesel, arrived at Baniyas port en route to “Baniyas refinery” for refining, and the cargo will be unloaded in the upcoming three days. While more Iranian oil tankers were still waiting in the Suez Canal.
It is worth noting that the fuel and domestic gas crisis continues to worsen in all provinces under the control of the regime, while fuel is available only on the black market at high prices.
