Hundreds of Palmyra and al-Qaryatayn people join the “Islamic State”

Homs Province:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed that hundreds of young people from the cities of Palmyra and al-Qaryatayn have sworn allegiance for the “Islamic state” in the past weeks and months, after the organization extend its control over to the city of Palmyra in the 20th of May 2015, and the city of al-Qaryatayn on the 6th of August 2015, also the sound of two explosions were heard in al-Wa’er neighborhood in Homs caused by the fall of two explosive propane cylinder launched by the regime forces on places in the neighborhood  in conjunction with shelling by the regime forces on areas in al-Wa’er, also a member  of the regime forces was killed in clashes against the “Islamic state” in the vicinity of al-Qaryatayn town in the southeastern countryside of Homs, while the Islamic factions targeted by several rocket shells positions of the regime forces in the northern countryside of Homs, amid clashes in the vicinity of the areas of al-Helaliyya and Jabburin in the northern countryside of Homs between the rebel and Islamic factions and Al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda in the Levant) against the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them but no information about casualties, while the “Islamic state” targeted using several shells positions for the regime forces in the outskirts of al-Doweh area west of Palmyra city in the eastern countryside of Homs, no information about casualties so far.
