Accompanied by his wife and six children | Most prominent drug dealer killed by airstrike at Syrian-Jordanian border east of Al-Suwaidaa
The killing of the person called Mar’I Al-Ramthan and his family which included his wife and six children, was confirmed, due to the airstrike of a warplane which is likely to be Jordanian, targeted a building that Al-Ramthan stayed in Al-Sha’ab village in the eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa at the Syrian-Jordanian border. Al-Ramthan was the most prominent drug dealer in the area and the first responsible for smuggling it to Jordan from Al-Sha’ab the border village, he was mainly related with leaders of Lebanese Hezbollah.
SOHR condemns the killing of the wife and her children, and denounces this crime, since the presence of a wanted person as Al-Ramthan does not justify the killing of his children and wife with him.
Earlier today, SOHR reported that a warplane which is likely to be Jordanian, targeted a position within Al-Sha’ab village in the eastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa at the Syrian-Jordanian border, where the person called Mar’i Al-Ramthan, the most prominent drug dealer who is responsible for smuggling it to Jordan from the area there, stays in, without any certain information until now about his fate, and the fate of his family which includes his wife and six children. Preliminary information indicates that they were all killed in the strike, and if this information is correct, so SOHR denounces killing women and children under any pretext.
