In mysterious circumstances | Man in his sixties shot dead in Homs countryside

Homs province: A civilian in his sixties was shot dead in mysterious circumstances in Modan village in Al-Qaysar countryside in Homs countryside, without knowing the identity of the killer and the reasons of the crime, while the local authorities intervened to follow up the circumstances of the crime.
This comes in light of the increased crime rate in regime-held areas due to the ongoing security chaos.
The Syrian Observatory has documented 94 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2023, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 103 fatalities: 24 women, 67 young and adult men and 12 children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:
• Rif Dimashq: 15 murder crimes left a woman, two children and 13 men dead.
• Latakia: 14 murder crimes left seven men, eight women and three children dead.
• Al-Suwaidaa: 15 murder crimes left two children, ten men and three women dead.
• Homs: Nine murder crimes left seven men, a woman and a child dead
• Hama: Three murder crimes left three men dead.
• Daraa: 15 murder crimes left 14 men and three women dead.
• Damascus: Nine murder crimes left three women, a child and five men dead.
• Aleppo: Five murder crimes left three children and three women dead.
• Deir Ezzor: Six murders crime left seven men dead.
• Al-Hasakah: One murder crime left one woman dead.
• Al-Qunaitrah: One murder crime left one young man dead.
• Tartus: One murder crime left one woman dead.
