IS*IS resurgence | Female fighter of Al-Asayesh kil*led in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Two gunmen on a motorbike, who are believed to belong to ISIS, targeted a female fighter of the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayesh”, while she was crossing the road near Al-Basira City eastern of Deir Ezzor, killing her immediately.

SOHR has documented 89 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2023. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 59 persons dead:
• Ten civilians.
• 44 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
• One unidentified man.
• Four ISIS member.
These operations are distributed regionally as follows:
• Al-Raqqah: 11 attacks left ten combatants and a civilian dead.
• Deir Ezzor: 66 attacks left nine civilians, an unidentified man, 25 combatants and two ISIS members dead.
• Aleppo: Three attacks left seven combatants, including commanders, dead.
• Al-Hasakah: Nine attacks left two combatants and two ISIS members dead and others injured.
