Family infighting | Young man injured in Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that armed clashes with light weapons and knives erupted among cousins from Al-Ekaydat tribe in the market of Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside within SDF-held areas, which led to injuring a young man who was near the site of clashes .

 

Accordingly, the number of infightings which followed disputes over retaliation and family and tribal disagreements in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration has reached 80 since early 2023. According to SOHR statistics, these infightings lleft 47 people, including two children and two women, dead and 100 others, including six women and three children, injured; they are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Deir Ezzor: 61 infightings left 28 people, including two children and two women, dead and 64 others, including five woman and two children, injured.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: Seven infightings left six persons dead and 11 others injured, including a woman and a child.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Eight infightings left nine persons dead 25 others injured.

 

  • Aleppo countryside: Four infightings left four persons dead.
