First round of airstrikes on Daraa since 2018 | Child injured and areas hosting regime posts and former den of drug dealers come under attack

Daraa province: SOHR sources have reported that a child was injured today due to a round of two airstrikes executed by a fighter jet believed to be a regime fighter jet, on positions in the vicinity of Dael and Al-Yaduda towns in Daraa countryside.

The child lives with his family in a tent near the site of the attack.

The first airstrike targeted agricultural land known as Al-Sa’adah area between Daraa and Tafas, where regime forces units and some checkpoints are deployed.

While the second airstrike targeted an unpopulated area between Al-Yaduda and Atman.

One month and a half ago, the targeted area had been inhabited by some persons who involved in drug business under the supervision of a drug dealer called “Rafe’ Rouisi”.

The fighter jets took off from Syrian desert and executed two airstrikes on positions in the vicinity of Dael and Al-Yaduda towns in Daraa countryside, while the reasons behind the attack remain unknown.

It is worth noting that this is the first attack by fighter jets since 2018.
