Amid violent clashes between regime forces and SDF on Euphrates river’s banks | Civilian injured in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that violent clashes with light and medium weapons erupted on the banks of Euphrates river in Deir Ezzor countryside between Syrian Democratic Forces stationed in Al-Shuhayl town and regime forces stationed in Baqrus town. Meanwhile, a civilian from Al-Zarr village was injured due to the indiscriminate gunfire, and he was taken to the hospital.

It is worth noting that river crossings separating SDF-controlled areas from regime-controlled areas have experienced armed clashes between the two sides, as well as smuggling operations of fuels and other goods to regime-controlled areas by smugglers and brokers for large sums of money.

On July 9, SOHR sources reported that armed clashes erupted between members of regime forces stationed in Tabeayh Jazerah town and members of the SDF-backed Self-defence Forces stationed in Jaded Akedat town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside on Euphrates river bank which separates regime-controlled areas from SDF-controlled areas. This followed an attack by regime forces with RPGs on a position of the Self-defence Forces, but no casualties were reported.
