Exchanged attacks | Jihadist killed in shelling between regime forces and Al-Fath Al-Mubin in Idlib

A member of Ansar Al-Tawhid jihadist faction of Al-Fath Al-Mubin operation room was killed after regime forces targeted positions of the factions on Al-Fatera frontline in southern Idlib countryside.

Moreover, regime forces fired heavy artillery shells on the vicinity of Al-Wasata and Al-Qasr Villages in western Aleppo countryside, Al-Fatera, Kafr Ewaid, Afes, Al-Ruwaiha and San in Idlib countryside, Al-Sirmaniya, Duwair Al-Akrad, Al-Ziyara and Al-Ankawy in Hama countryside, Kafr Amma Town and Telal Al-Khadr and Telal Kabana in Lattakia countryside.

In return, military factions fired rocket launchers on regime positions in Al-Malaja Village southern of Idlib, while HTS targeted regime positions on the 46th Regiment in western Aleppo countryside.

Since early 2023, SOHR has documented 168 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 244 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 138 combatants and 55 civilians, including five women and 18 children, injured.

The fatalities can be distributed as follows:

• 16 civilians were killed by regime forces, including four women and two children.

• 168 members of regime forces, including ten officers.

• An Afghan militiaman of “Liwaa Fatemiyoun.”

• A member of the Syrian Hezbollah.

• 48 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, including a French jihadist.

• Three members of the jihadist faction of “Ansar Al-Tawheed.

• One member of “Ahrar Al-Sham” movement.

• Two member of “Al-Sham Corps.”

• One member of “Hurras Al-Din” organisation.

• The Commander-in-chief of Russian Special Tasks Forces.

• A militiaman of the Iranian-backed “Liwaa Al-Baqer.”

• A member of “Soqour Al-Sham.”
