Preparations for establishing new military base | Turkish forces deploy on the M4 highway in eastern Ain Issa

Al-Raqqah province: SOHR sources have reported heavy deployment of Turkish forces in their bases on the M4 highway in the east of Ain Issa for establishing a new Turkish base.

 

It is worth noting that several Turkish bases are located on a part of the M4 highway of nearly 140 kilometres, where every base is nearly three kilometres away from the following one. These bases were established under Russian-Turkish consensus, after “Peace Spring” operation in 2019.

 

Turkish forces stationed in these bases shell positions and SDF posts in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah almost daily, disregarding the ceasefire agreement.
