Having pretended to be ISIS members | Three persons killed and injured in clashes with SDF patrol in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that two men were killed and another was injured during clashes with machineguns with members of an SDF patrol which stormed their house in Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor for pretending to be ISIS members.

 

According to SOHR sources, one of the killed men had pretended to be an ISIS member to blackmail an oil investor in the area, as well as blackmailing several residents to collect money, under the pretext of collecting zakat and other levies for the benefit of ISIS.”

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that two people impersonating ISIS cells stormed a house in Zaiban Town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside and demanded royalties from its owner, where the owner managed to arrest one of them while the other managed to escape.

 

According to reliable SOHR sources, both persons had previously demanded the owner of the house to pay 8,000 USDs as royalties for ISIS and they attacked his house after he refused. Meanwhile, dignitaries of the town called the owner of the house to release the arrested person and that they would be responsible for the safety of the house owner.
