Approaching disaster | Nine water pumping stations suspended and residents appeal concerned authorities to interfere

Al-Raqqa province: SOHR activists have reported that nine water pumping stations went out of service in Al-Tabaka in Al-Raqqa countryside, as the Turkish authorities steal a share of Syria’s water of the Euphrates River, which is the main lifeline that feeds the area with water and electricity.

Residents appealed to the United States of America to take action and interfere to prevent a humanitarian disaster in the region and to prevent Turkey from using water as a weapon to combat residents of north eastern of Syria.

Moreover, residents demanded the humanitarian organizations to search for emergency solutions to fix the situation and save the lives of civilians dying from thirst.
