Daraa | Local factions field exe*cute two civilians for “belonging to IS*IS”

Daraa province: Residents have found the bodies of two young men from Om Batna Town in Al-Qonaitara countryside, who were field executed and dumped in the western graveyard of Jassim City northern of Daraa, after they were arrested by a local group that stormed the neighbourhood on August 2, where it was revealed that the two young men were accused of “dealing with ISIS.”

This comes in light of the ongoing security chaos in Daraa province.

Since early 2023, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 329, which left 259 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 117 regime soldiers, members and collaborators with regime security services.
• 16 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.
• Nine ISIS members.
• Six ex-combatants with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.
• Two people working for the Lebanese Hezbollah, including a commander.
• One “collaborator” with Iranian-backed militias.
• An ex-fighter in the former “Jabhat Al-Nusra.”
