Surprise decision | “Al-Julani” discharges senior commander

Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) has issued a decision discharging “Abu Maria Al-Qahtani,” a senior HTS commander, for “engaging in uncalculated communications, disregarding his sensitive position,” as the statement described.

 

This comes a week after reports of the arrest of “Al-Qahtani”

 

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that HTS commanders leaked information about communications between “Abu Maria Al-Qahtani” and a cell of individuals working for the International Coalition, where they were arrested and held in Bab Al-Hawa prison.

 

SOHR sources have also reported that Al-Julani warned security and military commanders in HTS from circulating any information about this case or informing any details to media outlets or any other bodies, under penalty.

 

Meanwhile, disagreements erupted between Al-“Julani” and a group of top commanders of HTS, before the two sides agreed on eliminating “Abu Maria Al-Qahtani” in HTS-controlled areas.
