Avoiding clashing with residents | Members of “Asayish” withdraw from several posts in Al-Sousah and Al-Baghoz towns east of Deir Ezzor
Deir Ezzor province: Members of several posts of the internal security forces “Asayish” in Al-Baghoz and Al-Sousah towns in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, withdrew to avoid clashing with the residents, in case of demonstrations staged today after Friday prayers. The withdrawal of the members comes in conjunction with the military tension taking place in several areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzor between SDF and forces of the military council of Deir Ezzor and the gunmen loyal to it.
On this context, intermittent clashes are erupting between SDF and members of the military council of Deir Ezzor and gunmen loyal to it, in Thiban and Al-Shuhil towns and near Jadidat Bakarah in Deir Ezzor countryside.
Yesterday, SOHR reported that five gunmen loyal to “Abu Khawlah,” the discharged leader of “Deir Ezzor Military Council Forces,” were killed on the outskirts of Jadid Bakara village, while attempting to reach a spring of Euphrates river a few metres away from the village.
On the other hand, eight members of cells affiliated to regime forces survived clashes in Jadid Bakarah, after having sustained various injuries, and they managed to reach the military hospital in Deir Ezzor city for receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, tense calm prevails in Theban and Al-Shuhayl after violent clashes in the two towns, while clashes are still ongoing at Al-Bareed post, coinciding with negotiations conducting between SDF and gunmen loyal to the discharged leader of “Deir Ezzor Military Council Forces.”
