Having been halted for two months over Russian veto | UN aid convoy enters northern Syria through Bab Al-Hawa border crossing
Idlib province: SOHR sources have reported the arrival of a UN aid convoy through Bab Al-Hawa border crossing in Idlib countryside in north-western Syria.
The convoy comprised 17 trucks carrying medical supplies, food staff, food baskets and stationery.
This convoy of UN aid comes after it was halted for more than two months, after Russia had vetoed the crossing of aid supplies through Bab al-Hawa crossing to north Syria for a new term.
On June 23, SOHR sources reported the entry of a UN aid convoy through Al-Tarnabah crossing near Saraqib city in eastern Idlib countryside. The convoy, which comprised ten trucks of humanitarian aid and relief supplies, came from regime-controlled areas, amid strict security measures and deployment of members of HTS to guard the convoy.
The convoy headed towards the warehouses in Bab Al-Hawa area in the north of Idlib, near the frontlines with regime-controlled areas, where the trucks’ cargoes were unloaded.
