Despite surrender of most of subordinated members | NDF leader in Al-Hasakah refuse to hand himself to regime forces, amid threatens by regime forces to storm his headquarters

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that the leader of the National Defence Forces in Al-Hasakah city has been still holed up in a villa, which is one of the formation’s headquarters, with a small group of subordinated members in the security zone in the city. The most of NDF members in Al-Hasakah city have handed themselves to regime forces during yesterday’s clashes, while regime forces threatened to storm the headquarters, in the case that the NDF leader did not surrender in hours.

 

It is worth noting that regime forces brought in more military reinforcement to the security zone in Al-Hasakah city.

 

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that four civilians were injured; a woman and three of her children, as a result of an unknown shell fell on Ghuwayran neighbourhood in Al-Hasakah city. This came a day after the bloody clashes erupted between regime forces and members of “NDF” inside the security zone in the city.

 

Yesterday, SOHR reported that a regime soldier was killed, and 4 other police members of the regime were injured, in clashes between the latter and members of the National Defence, inside the security zone in Al-Hasakah city, coinciding with the deployment of tanks in the neighbourhoods of the city.

 

While clashes are still taking place intermittently between both sides after the headquarters of the National Defence commander was besieged.

Shortly earlier, five people, including a woman and an elder, were injured with stray bullets in the clashes erupted between regime forces and members of the National Defence in the city, where they were taken to hospital for treatment.
