Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the death of 22 people in clashes between local gunmen and regime-backed militias from western of Euphrates, who are three members of SDF, 18 local gunmen and a woman.

Moreover, 42 people were injured, who are four civilians, 26 local gunmen and 12 members of SDF.

SOHR obtained video tapes showing gunmen crossing from areas of Iranian militias towards areas in eastern of Euphrates to fight against SDF.

SDF is continuing combing operations to siege the river banks, cutting roads and reinforcing its checkpoints.

On the same context, gunmen fired RPG shells on a checkpoint of SDF in Kaow’ Junction in Al-Ezba Town in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, amid the eruption of clashes.

Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen attacked a military vehicle with machineguns in Abo Al-Naital Town.

Moreover, clashes took place in Abriha Town in Deir Ezzor countryside.

Yesterday, SDF fired mortar shells on positions of regime-backed militias on the western bank of Euphrates River, as a response to bombardment by the latter on SDF positions.

Moreover, drones of SDF targeted positions of regime militias near Al-Mayadin area and the river crossing, while the bombardment is still ongoing.

It is worth noting that the clashes take place intermittently in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside near the banks of Euphrates River, amid displacement of civilians towards Al-Tayana and neighbouring villages, due to the artillery shelling by the regime and the curfew by SDF.

Earlier today, local gunmen carried out an infiltration operation on Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, coinciding with artillery fire by regime forces, following clashes between SDF and local gunmen on two frontlines in the town.
