On third day of escalation | 37 people killed and Russian and regime air crafts continue bombing residential areas within “Putin-Erdogan” area

A civilian was killed in a rocket shelling by the regime forces targeting Al-Atareb city in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Two children were killed as a preliminary toll, due to regime forces targeting a market and houses in the center of Idlib city with rockets.

Two children from Kafar Lata were also killed, as a result of artillery shelling on Ariha city in Idlib countryside.

A civilian was killed due to renewed bombing by regime forces on residential neighbourhoods in Termanin city.

Russian warplanes carried out four raids on Basanqol area and the vicinity of Mahambal Idlib countryside. No causalities were reported.

In the early hours of today, regime forces fired, with artillery and rocket launchers, civil areas in Idlib and Aleppo countryside, during which internationally forbidden (cluster and phosphorous) weapons were used, on Jesr Al-Shugour city in Idlib countryside and Ariha, Termanin town, Al-Dana, Sarmin, Afes, Hezrah, Kafar Karmin, the vicinity of Al-Atareb and Al-Wasetah in the western countryside of Aleppo. No causalities were reported.

Since October 5, the death toll of the ground and air bombardment by the regime and Russia on areas controlled by factions on the one hand, and bombardment by the factions on regime-held areas on the other hand, increased to 37. They are:

 

• 29 in ground bombardment by regime forces

 

• A child in air bombardment by warplanes.

 

• Three in ground bombardment by the factions on regime-held areas.

 

• Two members of HTS on the frontline of Kabanah.

 

• Two regime soldiers on the frontline of Al-Malajah.

 

Regime forces continue their escalation on the “de-escalation” zone, stretching from the north-eastern Latakia to the north-western suburbs of Aleppo city running through both Hama and Idlib provinces, for the third consecutive day. It seems that this escalation comes as a part of revenge by regime forces following the bloody explosion which targeted crowds of people in the military school in Homs on October 5 and left tens of fatalities among regime recently-graduated officers and their families who were seeing the graduation of their children.

 

SOHR activists have reported that regime forces fired over 700 artillery shells and rockets on different areas across the “de-escalation zone” since Thursday, mostly hit populated areas and left several civilian casualties.

 

 

Regime bombardment on HTS-held areas leaves 29 civilian fatalities

 

Since October 5, SOHR activists have documented the death of 29 civilians and injury of over 55 others due to regime ground bombardment on areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

 

• A man in Al-Mawzarah village in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

 

• Two children and a man in Jisr Al-Shughour city.

 

• A woman in Ariha city.

 

• A man and a child on the outskirts of Idlib city.

 

• A child in an area on the road between Sarmin and Idlib.

 

• A woman in Mantaf village.

 

• Four civilians, including three children, in Darat Izza city.

 

• A man in Majdaliyah village.

 

• Four civilians, including a child, in Idlib city and surrounding villages.

 

• Five civilians, including four children, in Tarmanin town.

 

• A man in Al-Atareb.

 

• Two children were killed in bombardment on an outdoors market and a house in Idlib city centre.

 

• Two children from Kafrlata village were killed in bombardment on Ariha city.

 

• A man in Tarmanin town.

 

 

Russian airstrike leaves a child dead

 

Russian fighter jets also participated in the latest escalation campaign, where they executed 25 airstrikes in the same period, since October 5, targeting residential areas and military positions. The Russian airstrikes are distributed as follows:

 

• One airstrike on Jaftalek Haj Mahmoud village.

 

• Two airstrikes on Al-Zi’ayniyah in Jisr Al-Shughour.

 

• Four airstrikes on Al-Qarqour in Sahl Al-Ghab.

 

• Four airstrikes on Bdama.

 

• Four airstrikes on Halouz village.

 

• Two airstrikes on Kafridin village.

 

• Four airstrikes on Idlib city and surrounding villages.

 

• Four airstrikes on Basanqoul and the surrounding areas of Muhambal.

 

Those airstrikes left a child dead in Jaftalek Haj Mahmoud village and 18 other civilians injured; they are as follows:

 

• Two in Jaftalek Haj Mahmoud village.

 

• 14 civilians, mostly children, in Bdama town.

 

• A little girl and a woman in Al-Shukhaib village, near Al-Zi’ayniyah town.

 

 

Three civilians killed in regime-controlled areas adjacent to the “de-escalation zone”

 

Since October 5, factions of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham shelled areas controlled by regime forces adjacent to the “de-escalation zone,” targeting positions in Jurin district in Hama countryside, Nebl and positions in Aleppo countryside. The rebel bombardment left a child and a man dead and four others injured in Jurin town in Hama countryside and a man dead in Nebl town in south Aleppo countryside.

 

 

Four combatants killed in exchange of fire

 

Also, SOHR documented the death of four combatants since October 5 in exchange of fire between regime forces and rebels; they are as follows:

 

• Two members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham were killed on Kabanah frontline.

 

• Two regime soldiers were killed on Al-Malajah frontline in Idlib countryside.
