Targeting ISIS hideouts | Russian fighter jets execute airstrikes in Syrian desert
SOHR sources have reported that Russian fighter jets have executed several airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the Syrian desert. Accordingly, the number of Russian airstrikes, which have targeted caves and bunkers in the Syrian desert since yesterday, has exceeded 12.
This coincided with ongoing flights by drones over the desert. However, no casualties have been reported.
It is worth noting that this round of airstrikes by Russian fighter jets on positions in the Syrian desert is the first of its kind in months.
On August 11, SOHR sources reported that Russian fighter jets executed several airstrikes on caves and bunkers in which ISIS members holed up in Al-Raqqah desert, amid ongoing flights by fighter jets over the desert. However, no casualties were reported.
