Calling for freedom and implementation of Resolution No. 2254 | Residents participate in Al-Suwaidaa uprising for the 79th consecutive day

Al-Suwaidaa province: Residents from Al-Suwaidaa city and surrounding villages headed to Al-Suwaidaa city centre to participate in today’s mass demonstration which comes as a part of the uprising that is ongoing for the 79th consecutive day.

The protestors called for supporting Gaza, toppling the Syrian regime, releasing detainees, implementing the Resolution No. 2254, applying peaceful transition of power and forming a national and decentralized body comprising all segments of Syrian society.

On October 1, SOHR sources reported that dozens of demonstrators lifted placards with slogans written on them in Al-Sir\Al-Karamah square in the centre of Al-Suwaidaa city, confirming their legitimate peaceful demands, as Al-Suwaidaa uprising continues for the 77th consecutive day, amid chanting slogans against the head of the Syrian regime and his government. Some of the slogans read “we want freedom”, “Stop the war”, “For a democratic and secular state” and “2254.”
