As they did at border with occupied Golan | Iranian-backed militias put on alert and reinforce their positions in Homs desert

SOHR sources reported that the Iranian-backed militias reinforced their positions in Homs desert, where they brought in military reinforcements during the past hours, comprising weapons and ammunition, including short and medium range missiles, in addition to logistical equipment and soldiers, who came from Deir Ezzor and Rif Dimashq, on the orders of the militias leadership, amid an alert in the area. This is similar to the reinforcements and mobilization of what are known as the Iranian-backed elite forces near the border with the occupied Golan in Rif Dimashq and Al-Qunaitrah countryside.
According SOHR sources, reinforcements reached the vicinity of the Marhatan village, and Al-Olayaniyah area, which is approximately 30 kilometres away from the 55-kilometre area, in which “Al-Tanaf” base of the “International Coalition” forces is located.
Last week, SOHR reported a great alert by what are known as the elite forces, particularly in Al-Qunaitrah countryside and west of Rif Dimashq, where the leadership of these forces issued orders to their members to increase maximum preparedness and permanent readiness around-the-clock, in anticipation of any strike that might target their positions or posts in the region by Israel, amid orders to respond directly, by the time the region is also witnessing great discontent among regime members and officers deployed in Al-Qunaitrah and west of Rif Dimashq, as a result of the strict orders issued by the military leadership of the Syrian regime to prevent the firing of any shell or bullet towards the occupied Golan.
It is noted that the elite forces include fighters from the Syrian resistance to liberate the Golan and Syrian members, Iraqis, Palestinians and other nationalities, and their number is estimated at more than 700 fighters, who were trained by the Lebanese Hezbollah and IRGC, and arrived in the region during October in batches and without any prior coordination with the military leadership of the Syrian regime.
