Rif Dimashq | Two people working with Lebanese Hezbollah kil*led under Israeli shelling on a farm

Two Syrian people working with the Lebanese Hezbollah were killed under the Israeli attacks on a farm of the Lebanese Hezbollah between Al-Saida Zainab and Al-Bajdaliya area in Rif Dimashq, amid information regarding other casualties.

SOHR sources have reported hearing four explosions due to new Israeli airstrikes on headquarters of Hezbollah near the capital Damascus. The airstrikes attacked a farm of Hezbollah on the vicinity of the capital Damascus in the area between Syeda Zeinab and Al-Bahaldyah near Al-Defa’a factories, after the entry of two cars, causing the explosion of a power generator and barrels of diesel were inside the farm.
The Israeli airstrikes also targeted the vicinity of Damascus International airport, where plumes of smoke were seen rising from the targeted sites, as the Syrian regime’s air defenses attempted counter the Israeli airstrikes.
It is worth noting that there are military headquarters of Lebanese Hezbollah within the targeted areas.

SOHR documented 54 attacks in 2023: 39 airstrikes and 15 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 110 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 100 combatants and injured 117 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

• 40 members of regime forces, including officers.

• 33 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.

• Six members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

• Six Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.

• 13 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

• Two members of “Al-Jihad Al-Islami” organisation.

In addition, those attacks left three men and a woman dead and other civilians injured.

The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

• Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 18 attacks.

• Al-Quneitera: eight attacks.

• Hama: two attacks.

• Tartus: three attacks.

• Aleppo: eight attacks.

• Al-Suwaidaa: four attacks.

• Daraa: 11 attacks.

• Homs: four attacks.

• Deir Ezzor: two attacks.

SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
