A doctor dies while digging trenches in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor airbase, and al-Hisba arrest dozens amid battels in the city and its vicinity

Deir Ezzor Province:

The activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights were informed that a doctor died in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor airbase, while he was digging the trenches for the organization in the airbase’s perimeter, the doctor was arrested by the organization on charge of “smoking” and was forced to dig the trenches as a “penalty” for that charge, the activists of the observatory were also informed that “al-Hisba” in the “Islamic State” arrested dozens of citizens since yesterday, on charges of “violation of dress and wearing clothes below the ankle and shaving the beard” and took them to the fronts of Deir Ezzor airbase to dig trenches as a punishment for them, this campaigns of arrest and checking on the general appearance of the citizens and passers-by in the eastern and western countryside of Deir Ezzor came when the “Islamic State” is starting to expand its attacks on several areas in the city of Deir Ezzor and its surroundings and the areas around Deir Ezzor airbase, the sources of the observatory confirmed that these arrests and inspections by “al-Hisba” are done deliberately on the citizens, and linked closely to the military operations of the “Islamic State” in Deir Ezzor.

It is noteworthy that a number of doctors from the city of Deir Ezzor and its countryside have left the province, and migrated outside of Syria, after the harassment, persecution, arrests and the pressure by the “Islamic state”.
