Ripping apart posters of Al-Assad | Protestors storm headquarters of Al-Baath Party in Shahbaa city in Al-Suwaidaa countryside

Al-Suwaidaa province: SOHR sources have reported that tens of protestors from Al-Suwaidaa stormed the headquarters of Baath Party branch in Shahbaa city and ripped apart posters of Bashar Al-Assad.

This coincides with the expire of the time limit given by residents to the command of that branch to hand over the building to its owners and leave.

This action comes as rejection by the region’s residents of the tyrannical practices by the Syrian regime and the ruling Al-Baath Party and their insistence to bring back the people’s resources and properties which have been seized by the party, including civilian houses which had been rented by the party according to old laws.

On November 28, SOHR reported that dozens of residents of Al-Suwaidaa city gathered in Al-Karamah square, in light of the ongoing daily peaceful protests, lifting placards with slogans that read: “We are not demanding our rights because we will obtain them legally, peacefully and civilizationally”, “We will continue our struggle until the sun of justice shines”, ” The policy of starvation and marginalization will not intimidate us, this country and its wealth are our right and the right of our children”

This came in light of their affirmation on their legitimate demands to implement International Resolution 2254, achieve a political transition and topple the regime.
