New murder crime in regime-held areas | Woman killed in her house in Aleppo city

Aleppo province: A woman was killed as a result of being hit on the head with a stone by two persons who broke into her house to rob it in Saif Al-Dawla neighborhood in Aleppo city within regime-held area. The Local authorities arrested the two persons, after they had stole 80,000 USD and four million Syrian pounds, where they were taken to a security centre for investigation.


The Syrian Observatory has documented 196 murders in regime-controlled areas since early 2023, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 224 fatalities: 49 women, 153 young and adult men and 22 children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:


  • Rif Dimashq: 31 murder crimes left five women, four children and 24 men dead.


  • Latakia: 21 murder crimes left nine men, 12 women and six children dead.


  • Al-Suwaidaa: 29 murder crimes left three children, 23 men and four women dead.


  • Homs: 16 murder crimes left 12 men, thre women and a child dead


  • Hama: 22 murder crimes left a child, three women and 20 men dead.


  • Daraa: 26 murder crimes left 27 men and seven women dead.


  • Damascus: 13 murder crimes left four women, a child and eight men dead.


  • Aleppo: 13 murder crimes left six men, three children and six women dead.


  • Deir Ezzor: 17 murders crimes left two children, two women and 16 men dead.


  • Al-Hasakah: Two murder crime left one woman and one young man dead.


  • Al-Qunaitrah: One murder crime left one young man dead.


  • Tartus: Four murder crimes left two women, a little girl and a man dead.


  • Idlib: One murder crime left five civilians dead.
