Amid exchange of attacks in north-eastern Syria | Turkish forces fire heavy artillery shells on three villages in Al-Hasakah countryside

Turkish forces stationed at “Peace Spring” area fired heavy artillery shells on the villages of Umm Harmalah, Bubei and Dada Abdal in Abu Rasin countryside in north-western Al-Hasakah countryside.

However, no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that SDF fired missiles on the area of a Turkish base and military positions of the Turkish-backed factions in Abdo Kawa Village in western Tel Abyad countryside northern of Al-Raqqa, leaving injuries.

Turkish forces are working on establishing a new military base in “Peace Spring” area, where on November 9, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces brought in engineering vehicles (bulldozers) and erected barriers in western Ain Issa in northern Al-Raqqah countryside on the opposite side of SDF-held area.

Heavy equipment were stationed at the new base, along with the arrival of ground forces to the post.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the new base is situated between two Turkish military bases in Ain Issa countryside, with a distance of three kilometres between them.

This came in light of ongoing efforts by Turkish forces to strengthen their presence in the region.
