Amid high alert by aerial and ground troops | US forces run patrol near Euphrates river opposite areas controlled by Iranians in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that US forces ran a military patrol in Al-Shuhayl, Al-Tayyanah, Theban and areas on the bank of Euphrates river in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor opposite areas controlled by Iranian-backed militias on the other bank.

This coincided with frequent flights by drones and fighter jets over the region. Meanwhile, US forces stationed in the bases in Al-Omar oil field and Koniko gas field have been put on high alert.

It is worth noting that troops stationed in the bases of the US-led International Coalition in north and east Syria have been put on high alert to cope with expected attacks by Iranian-backed militias.

Earlier today, International Coalition Forces and SDF conducted a routine military patrol of 12 armoured vehicles, where the patrol toured towns in western Deir Ezzor countryside and inspected observation posts.

On the other hand, US and foreign military forces along with Syrian co-operators redeployed in Al-Shaddadi Base and Estirahat Wazeer Centre that holds a US base near the administrative headquarters of SDF northern of Al-Hasakah.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the soldiers deployed with military machinery in the vicinity of the two bases following an attack on Al-Shaddadi Base with missiles by the “Islamic Resistance.”
