Family disputes | Young man kills his brother in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: A young man was killed by his brother, due to family disputes between them in Abriha Village in Deir Ezzor countryside within SDF-held areas.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 78 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2023, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 88 civilian fatalities, including 14 women and ten children; they are distributed regionally as follows:

Al-Hasakah: 22 civilians, including six women and four children

Deir Ezzor: 32 civilians, including three women and two children.

Al-Raqqah: 18 civilians, including three women and three children.

Manbij: 12 civilians, including two women.

Ain Al-Arab (Kobani): Four civilians, including a little boy.
