“Peace Spring” areas | “Al-Hamza Division” imposes royalties on deported Syrians

Al-Raqqa province: Members of “Al-Hamza Division” that belongs to the Turkish-backed National Army, force the Syrians, who are deported by Turkish authorities towards Tel Abyad in northern Al-Raqqa countryside within “Peace Spring” areas, to pay 125 USDs per person wanting to leave the area towards SDF-held areas.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the faction gathers nearly 350 deported people in a small compound.

Syrians seek safe haven in neighbouring countries and take risks, to escape the harsh living and security conditions in the country.

Turkish authorities work on deporting Syrians towards “Peace Spring” areas to demographically change the region.
