The Russians develop and reinforce the airports for Bashar al- Assad, amid doubts about the effectiveness

 

Reliable sources reported to SOHR that the Russian forces are working on establishing a long runway in Hmaymim Airport area that is able to accommodate large planes. The Russians have also prevented both the civil and military authorities to enter to the runway area. SOHR also knew that the Russian authorities are working on expanding the agricultural airport of al- Hasmidiyya located in the south of Tartous province. Meanwhile, Hmaymim Airport witnessed in the last weeks the arrival of warplanes loaded of military equipment as well as hundreds of Russian military advisers, experts and technicians.

 

In addition to, SOHR knew that Russian experts are working on a study to establish a long runways in the International Airport of Damascus, while the sources confirmed that it is not true that Russia handed over the Russian naval base in Tartous but on the contrary, they have strengthened the security measures, amid doubts insides the popular nurturing of the regime in the Syrian coast about the Russian military ability to make any military change for the benefits of the regime after the retreat and the huge casualties in the regime forces ranks in the last months even though the great military support that has sent by Iran.
