With flight of drone and wa*rplane | Violent expl*osion heard in military position in Al-Qonaitara

An explosion was heard in a military position near Al-Rafida Village in Al-Qonaitara countryside, coinciding with the flight of an Israeli drone and a warplane over the region.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by Israeli shelling on a military position, after missiles were fired by factions working with the Lebanese Hezbollah on the occupied Al-Golan. However, no casualties were reported.

Factions working with Lebanese Hezbollah fired two missiles on the occupied Syrian Al-Golan heights.

On the same context, Israel responded by shelling Al-Naseriya Village and neighbouring villages in Al-Qonaitara. However, no casualties were reported.

SOHR documented 65 attacks in 2023: 45 airstrikes and 20 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 129 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 114 combatants and injured 130 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
• 40 members of regime forces, including officers.
• 35 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
• Six members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
• Seven Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
• 24 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
• Two members of “Al-Jihad Al-Islami” organisation.
In addition, those attacks left three men and a woman dead and other civilians injured.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:
• Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 25 attacks.
• Al-Quneitera: 14 attacks.
• Hama: two attacks.
• Tartus: three attacks.
• Aleppo: eight attacks.
• Al-Suwaidaa: four attacks.
• Daraa: 11 attacks.
• Homs: four attacks.
• Deir Ezzor: two attacks.
SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack
